An openwork pattern with larger spaces. Two double crochet stitches are needed to fill a space, if this is used for filet crochet.

Multiple of 3 chain plus 8

Row 1: skip 7 chain, (1dc in next chain, ch2, skip 2 chain), 1dc, ch5, turn

Row 2: skip 1st dc of previous row, (1dc in next dc, ch2, skip 2 chain), 1dc in 3rd chain at beginning of previous row, ch5, turn

Repeat from Row 2
