Double Stitch

Each stitch spans two.

Multiple of 2 chain plus 2

Row 1: skip (sk) 2 chain (ch), 1 double stitch [Insert hook in next chain, yarn over (yo), draw through a loop, insert hook in next chain, yarn over (yo), draw through a loop, yarn over (yo), draw through 3 loops],

 * 1 double stitch, inserting hook first in stitch where second yarn over (yo) was made for previous double stitch*, Repeat from * to end of row, chain (ch) 2, turn.

Row 2: *1 double stitch in each pair of stitches*, Repeat from * to end of row, 1 double stitch inserting hook in last stitch and top of chain at beginning, chain 2, turn.

Repeat from Row 2.
