Simple Shells


A moderately large motif.

Multiple of 6 chain plus 5

Row 1: skip 3 chain, 1 double crochet in next chain, *(2 double crochet, chain 1, 2 double crochet) in next chain, yarn over, insert hook in next chain, draw up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops, skip 3 stitches, yarn over, insert hook in next chain, draw up a loop, (yarn over, draw through 2 loops) 3 times*, 1 double crochet, chain 3, turn.

Row 2: 1 double crochet in double crochet before the chain space, *(2 double crochet, chain 1, 2 double crochet) in each chain space, yarn over, insert hook in next double crochet, draw up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops, skip 3 stitches, yarn over, insert hook in next double crochet, draw up a loop, (yarn over, draw through 2 loops) 3 times*, work last stitch in top of turning chain, chain 3, turn. 

Repeat from Row 2.
